1967 found fathers cornet in attic and joined Northview Elementary band program in Muncie, IN. Continued playing trumpet in Muncie schools thru 1973 before moving to Harrodsburg, KY and joining the Mercer County Band. Hightlight: 1971-73 joined the Muncie Central Jazz Band. 1975 graduated and enrolled as a music major at Morehead State University. 1976 changed major to business with a music minor. 1980 graduated from MSU and took first job at Kings Island Theme Park outside Cincinnatti, OH. 1981 Joined new 13 piece band to perform at January's (downtown cincy) 1982 Left the Celebration Band and joined Brassfire a touring showband. 1984 Took a house gig in Cocoa Beach, FL performing with the Hitz Band at the Afterdeck Lounge. 1985 Was thrilled to get the call to join The Headliners.
